SPRAT stands for "Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians". It is based in North America and provides standards for legislation and safety for rope access across the globe. XtremeAxis is a SPRAT certified member based company. All our technicians are trained and uphold the SPRAT standards and safety measures. We comply with SPRAT requirements to ensure we are always meeting our OHS standards in Alberta and providing the best rope access solutions to our clients.
XtremeAxis is run by S.P.R.A.T. Certified Technicians. Check out our qualifications at www.sprat.org. With this certification we are allowed to access the most difficult to reach areas - legally, safely and cost effective. All personnel are trained in first aid and operate under a strict company safety program.
A Certificate of Recognition (COR) is awarded to employers who develop health and safety programs that meet established standards. A COR shows that the employer’s health and safety management system has been evaluated by a certified auditor and meets provincial standards. These standards are established by Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). To get a COR, your business must first have a health and safety management system in place, and then have it successfully audited through a Certifying Partner. A Certifying Partner is an organization that:
- can help you develop a health and safety system
- provides health and safety training and services
- coordinates the audit process
- provides quality assurance
Who can issue a COR?
If your business passes the audit, the Certifying Partner will jointly issue a COR with the Government of Alberta.
